Representative Experience:
Won summary judgment in a $1.2 million personal injury case venued in Federal court. The case was wholly dismissed.
Served on a team that defended a local business in a 4-week arbitration, in which the plaintiff claimed over $140 million in damages for breach of contract and fraud. An arbitration panel returned a complete defense verdict for our client.
Served on a team that defended a lawsuit for breach of contract, fraud, and securities violations in which the intellectual property-holder plaintiff claimed in excess of $100 million in damages. After a 7-week trial, the jury returned a complete defense verdict on all counts for our client.
Won summary judgment based on the statute of limitations and economic loss doctrine while defending a manufacturing company in a class action products liability lawsuit. The case was wholly dismissed prior to class certification.

Personal:
Shannon was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and has been a resident of the Kansas City area for 12 years. Her interests include reading, boxing, and traveling nationwide for sporting events. She has completed two marathons in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and competes yearly in a local triathlon in support of local women’s charities. She has also volunteered extensively in the past for Children’s Mercy Hospital and Wayside Waifs. Shannon lives in Shawnee, Kansas with her son. |
